When kid #3 was born it had been ten years. I admit my Sesame Street days were long past and my nursery rhymes were rusty.
I have created a cheat sheet for parents, a collection of songs to sing to babies.
It is important to sing to your baby. This helps with soothing the baby as well as bonding. Later on this will help with early language skills.
There are many songs that will be familiar to you, but really you can sing whatever you want in a sing-song voice and your baby will like it, no matter how terribly you think you sing.
I have collected the words to many common songs for babies and toddlers. Most of them you will recognize. If you do not know the tune of a song it is easy to look it up on YouTube.
Repetitive songs have been abbreviated (think This Old Man).
I confess, my Sesame Street songs are rusty. http://t.co/meGrNmRR6h

You can print these out and hang them in the nursery to refresh your memory. You can use a dab of toothpaste to hang them, with the lullabies over the crib and the play songs split over the changing area and near the tub.
They are oriented in landscape so you can also stick them in sheet protectors and hang them on two tacks in the closet. When you get the next day’s outfit you can change the page on top and review some new songs to try for that day.
You can also save it to your desktop and open it when you are feeding the baby.
The play songs PDF is 13(!) pages and contains the following 34 songs:
*If you don’t want to print all of the pages there are cut offs, you can just print the first 2, or 4, or 10, or 12. 😉

Woah! I’m really digging the template/theme of this blog. It’s simple, yet effective.
A lot of times it’s hard to get that “perfect balance” between user friendliness and visual appearance.
I must say you’ve done a great job with this. Also, the blog loads
extremely fast for me on Firefox. Outstanding Blog!
