A Crunchy Baby Registry – Bathing: things you NEED (or should make) before baby comes. An alternative baby supply list for frugal moms, hippies, poor people, and mothers of oopsies.
Baby lotion (lavender)
Try this goo: coconut oil
You may get this at the baby shower. You need this for baby rubs. Why lavender, you say? Have you smelled that stuff? It smells GOOD. You can get a tiny lavender essential oil from eBay for under $3, and since it only takes a few drops it will last a while.

Baby wash
Try this goo: liquid castile soap
You may get this at the baby shower. Yes, again with the lavender. You can just wash a newborn with water, they don’t really need soap. They don’t roll around in the dirt, or smell when they sweat. So this is just to smell her head later and say “Mmmmm.”
